Maybe you’d rather make something semi homemade? I’ve stepped it up a notch and created these yummy 2 Ingredient Tastykake Maple Sweet Rolls Cake Pops! Everyone will be grabbing for these after dinner, so be sure and make enough. Heck make extra so you can take some back home with you.
These are super simple to make and you won’t be slaving over a hot stove all day. Get the kids involved too. They will love to help make these tasty cake pops!
What you’ll need:
- 1 or more boxes of Winter Edition Tatsykake Maple Sweet Rolls, deepening on how many you want to make. If your store does not carry these just use regular favored sweet rolls sold in the same type of package, and add a very small amount of maple syrup. For me each package made about 12 cake pops.
- 1 or more packages of White Chocolate Candy Melts, deepending on how many you want to make.
- 1 or more packages of 4″ Lollipop Sticks, again deepening on how many you want to make.
- Sprinkles (optional)
How to make it:
Begin by chopping your packages of Winter Edition Tatsykake Maple Sweet Rolls onto small cubes, and putting them in a bowl.
Next, start mashing the cubes together until it’s well mixed and you can form the mixture into cake balls. This will be a bit sticky. You can coat your hands with a little oil if necessary. However I didn’t have too.
Next, form as many cake balls to the size you desire, until all of the mixture is gone. Now place them in the freezer for 20 minutes.
Next, grab your White Chocolate Candy Melts, and melt them according to that package. I simply placed mine in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time stirring in between until they are melted.
Next, grab your Lollipop Sticks and dip only about 1/2 inch of the stick into the melted white chocolate, then take the dipped stick and insert it half way into a cake ball. Do this will all of them, and place in the freezer for 20 minutes.
Next, dipped each pop in the melted white chocolate and place on a pan or plate with parchment paper. This is when you would want to add sprinkles if you desire. Then place them in the freezer for 10 minutes. Or if you have a cake pop stand they can set there until firm or in the freezer.
