70% Of Americans Are Likely To Helplessly Standby

Be a Shield

Do you ever worry about a situation that required you to perform CPR or Heimlich on someone you love? Apparently, so do a lot of Americans. According to a recent study, only 30% of Americans are familiar enough with the latest CPR and choking procedures to perform them in the face of an emergency. That means 70% of Americans are likely to helplessly stand by and watch a person in need suffer! A Pacific Medical Training  company, ACLS National, has started a new public education campaign to help improve knowledge and understanding of the steps to perform CPR. The Be a Shield series is a free refresher on CPR, choking and Heat Exhaustion. If you have a few minutes, do yourself a favor and learn about the latest American Heart Association guidelines for CPR. You’ll be glad you did!
