Disclosure I received products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
When it comes to ice cream, my daughter is all ears and all taste buds. She loves ice cream more than anything in the world. However, for vanilla being her favorite flavor she won’t necessarily shy away from trying different mixtures of other flavors. So when ever I have the chance in reviewing a products from different ice cream brands she will always say YES. That brings me to, Graeter’s Ice Cream. Not too long ago I had the chance in reviewing a few flavors from Graeter’s Ice Cream. If you’re not familiar with the dessert brand, Graeter’s Ice Cream is a nationally recognized and awarded ice cream brand that was founded over 146 years ago in Cincinnati, OH.
Graeter’s Ice Cream is made using a special process in which they have perfected. The traditional French Pot process, in which they create only 2 gallons at a time. By doing so, Graeter’s reaches the point of irresistible creaminess that is completely unlike any other ice cream. By creating small batches at a time it gives dedicated artisans time to hand-swirl the ice cream in the 2-gallon French Pots. Then each 2 gallon batch is slowly frozen, resulting in a rich and unbelievably creamy texture.
Along with using such a special process, they using nothing but the finest of ingredients. like fresh cream and milk from Ohio farms that pledge not to use any artificial growth hormones. 100% cane sugar, egg custard, and of course gourmet chocolate for their signature chocolate chips.
After reading such amazing things about Graeter’s Ice Cream my daughter was so excited to try the flavors that were being sent. The flavors we received were:
-Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip
This is their signature flavor, made with black raspberries from Oregon’s Willamette Valley and gourmet bittersweet chocolate chips. Their all-time best seller an, absolute “must-try” for anyone new to Graeter’s.
-Mint Chocolate Chip
Pure Peppermint Oil provides a blast of minty freshness that is pure perfection when matched with gourmet bittersweet chocolate chips.
-Double Chocolate Chip
A dedcadent duet of Belgian dutched cocoa and their gourmet bittersweet chocolate chips will satisfy even the most demanding chocoholic.
Their homage to Vienna Coffee, a traditional espresso and whipped cream pairing, is brewed with a special blend of roasted Sumatran and Columbian Arabica beans. A frozen delight that will warm your soul.
-Madagascar Vanilla Bean
There is nothing plain about their vanilla! Sourced from the Bourbon Isle, off the coast of Madagascar, the fresh ground vanilla beans they use are considered the world’s finest.
-Original Salted Caramel
This is one of their original flavors that Graeter’s first made over a century ago, and still do by cooking brown sugar and cream with a pinch of salt. Simple, subtle, and sublime.
I’m not a big fan of ice cream, but when I do eat it I am rather picky on the flavors, and if its is hard of soft ice cream. Graeter’s Ice Cream is one of the best I have tasted. My favorite flavor from the ones I have reviewed was the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip. It was one of my favorites as a kid and for the longest time I could not find a brand or ice cream parlor that had the perfect taste until Graeter’s. My daughter’s favorite was of course the Madagascar Vanilla Bean, Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip, and Original Salted Caramel. She couldn’t really say much about them besides “YUM!” The flavors were rich and the texture was so creamy, like the most perfect bowl of ice cream.
Graeter’s not only offer’s regular ice cream, but they as well have gelato, and sorbet. If you want a friend or family member in another state to enjoy such a wonderful frozen treat, you can search through their wide variety of flavors, including, classics, seasonal flavors and chip flavors and have it shipped to them all packaged up with dry ice to keep them frozen and ready to eat! A great gift for anyone during the holidays. I know for sure my daughter would loved a big box of her favorite ice cream flavors on Christmas morning.
