Universal Orlando compensated my trip to Halloween Horror Nights 24 in exchange for my honest opinion. Regardless all views and opinions are 100% my own.
Moms and dads are allowed to have fun too. I am so tired of date night consisting of dinner and a movie, picnic in the park or being grateful just to have a night alone . Not that those things are not nice and I do love going with my husband and enjoying our time together. But we deserve more fun and more excitement once in a while. Like seeing my favorite scary movie come to life. With my husband and I being scary movie fans we knew with Halloween just around the corner that the perfect date night for us would be a haunted house.
Halloween Horror Nights 24 Universal Orlando here in Florida is even better than a haunted house any day of the week. This is a great time for Moms, Dads and couple to enjoy a late night without the kids, filled with screams and scares guaranteed to keep you close to one another. While watching and interacting with some of the latest horror movies as they come to life on the streets of Universal Studios in Orlando Florida.
Did you know? Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights is a yearly tradition that happens around Halloween that started in 1991. This event starts at night and features haunted houses that are themed on your favorite scary movies. Along with haunted houses it also includes ‘scare zones’ that are throughout the park that will keep you on your toes. As well as live entertainment based on your favorite Universal movies.
This year which is Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 24 feature haunted houses such as: From Dusk Till Dawn, Giggles & Gore Inc, The Walking Dead: End of The Line, Michale Myers Halloween,
Alien VS. Predator, Dracula Untold-Reign of Blood, Dollhouse of the Damned and Roanoke-Cannibal Colony. Lets not forget the live entertainment that included: Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure and Rocky Horror Picture Show Tribute.
The ‘scare zone’ street events this year are Maskerade: Unstitched, The Purge- Anarchy, Bayou of Blood, and Face Off in the Flesh.
We were able to make it to almost all of the haunted houses. Each house was as scary as the first and I must have screamed over 100 times that night. As I was leaving each house I always thought I was in the clear, however there were 3 houses and I won’t tell you which ones but after leaving it wasn’t over. Someone from the haunted houses scared the crap out of me. As we entered each house you could feel your heart racing not knowing what was going to scare you or was it ok to look.
This was my second time going to Halloween Horror Nights and my husbands first. Since being there once before I thought I would not be as scared, but I was completely wrong. There was just no way to escape the horror in the streets and in haunted house unless you were in the bathroom or in between scare zones. I love it! With our Express Passes The lines were only very long at Michael Myers Halloween haunted house but moved very quickly.
The makeup and costumes were amazing and they did such a wonderful job this year. Everything looked so real. The haunted houses and streets were filled with screams of terror from Halloween Horror Night fans as we made our way through the night. My husband I spent most of the night holding each other while screaming and laughing.
We had such a great time making our way through the streets. In between going to the haunted houses we made our way to get a bite to eat and I got what I always get my favorite Buffalo Chicken Strips with Sweet Potato Waffle Fries. Boy was that good, and it sure hit the spot after a few hours of walking, and being scared out of our wits.
As we made our way through the park we came across places to get drinks and I really thought the Nurses with the blood bags filled with shots was such a cool touch.
We also came across an area that was serving Zombie Rum! That was super cool to see. We didn’t have any alchlic drinks that night because we had to drive, but they had lots of cool stuff to offer.
Then we stopped off at one of my most favorite stores at Universal called the Candy Factory. I love coming to this store every time we visit. They have some of the most wonderful treats I have ever tasted. I highly recommend you try the Peanut Butter Cookie. This thing is massive!
My husband and I had one of the most wonderful nights together. Last year I was suppose to move but I am glad we didn’t because I really enjoyed this years Halloween Horror Nights 24 at Universal Studios in Orlando Florida.
