Disclosure I received products in exchange for an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I personally believe will be good for my readers.
Each year people travel from all over the world to different places to immerse themselves in a variety of new foods, music and cultures in different states. Hundreds of people take trips to Louisiana to experience everything they can before they have to return home. But they return home with a little heartache knowing that their Louisiana experience is now far away. With this in mind Parish Parcel was created, Parish Parcel is a curated subscription box.
But it isn’t just any ordinary subscription box, this one is special because local artists, chefs, musicians and craftsmen come together to fill this box with spices, apparel, food, art, music, recipes and Louisiana made merchandise that only South Louisiana can provide. These special items you receive in each box can not be found anywhere but sweet, old, Louisiana.
It is super easy to get started and receive your very own Parish Parcel. Just begin by choosing which box you would like, the Standard or the Lagniappe Box, each box contains the same items each month, but with the Lagniappe Box having just a little bit extra. After you pick that, select a plan, whether it be a month to month, 6 months or 12 months.
I received a Parish Parcel for November. The box included:
–Tabasco brand Garlic Pepper Sauce
The folks at Avery Island, LA are known for their hot sauce products.Using a unique blend of three peppers, cayenne and garlic, this sauce is a great side item for dinner with family.
–Louisiana Fish Fry Products Cayenne Pepper
People in Louisiana use cayenne seasoning as often as they use salt and pepper. It is not too spicy and adds a nice flavor.
–Bruce’s Sweet Potato Pancake Mix
A little twist on a favorite Thanksgiving side item, this pancake mix is like nothing you have ever tasted. Only in Louisiana would people make pancakes out of sweet potatoes.
–Prayer House Coffee Brazil Single Origin
This micro-brewery in Saint Landry Parish is brewing up coffee with some major flavor. This one is a sweeter roast that is nutty with hints of chocolate, perfect for a cup of post thanksgiving meal coffee.
–Cajun Creations Lavender Bath Salts
With November comes the beginning of the holiday travel season. Make those trips more relaxing with these lavender scented hand-made bath salts.
–Lastly was the Crawfish Bottle Opener
Use this unique piece of Louisiana while you are visiting family and friends. See in the photo at the top.
This is a such a great subscription box, it gives you a little taste of Louisiana without having to travel there! Everything in this box was just amazing, I personally have never been to Louisiana but after being able to use some of the products only sold there, I kind of want to travel there with my family. Experience the wonderful things that Louisiana has to offer. My son and I love hot sauce, so once we saw the Tabasco Garlic Pepper Sauce we both smiled. Also, the sweet potato pancake mix, is one on the coolest things I have seen in the pancake community. I’ve had banana pancakes, blue berry pancakes, vegan pancakes, and chocolate chip pancakes, but never sweet potato pancakes. Can’t wait to make these!
