Perfect Date Night: Halloween Horror Nights 25

Universal Orlando compensated my trip to Halloween Horror Nights 25 in exchange for my honest opinion. Regardless all views and opinions are 100% my own.

It’s that time of year again and there are so many fun things for the kids to do during the month of October, but not a lot of fun stuff for adults. Dinner and a movie has become so over rated.  There are so many times we skip it and just wait for it to hit Amazon and watch it online in the comfort of our own home. 

Moms and Dads deserve to have fun and enjoy lots of excitement. Like going to haunted houses and screaming your head off in pure joy and fear at the same time, but a good fear that’s all fun. 

Our favorite date night is going to Halloween Horror Nights Universal Resort in Orlando Florida. This year is a big event because it marks 25 years of Universal’s Halloween event. The legendary Jack the Clown makes his triumphant (and twisted) return to present the biggest and scariest Halloween Horror Nights ever, select nights from September 18th through November 1st. Now in its 25th year at Universal Orlando Resort, the nation’s premier Halloween event puts you right into some of the most pulse-pounding moments in horror history.

Halloween Horror Nights 25 Universal Orlando here in Florida is even better than a haunted house any day of the week. This is a great time for Moms, Dads and couples to enjoy a late night without the kids, filled with screams and scares guaranteed to keep you close to one another. While watching and interacting with some of  the latest horror movies as they come to life on the streets of Universal Studios in Orlando Florida.

Walk the streets of Universal Orlando as they come alive with hordes of terrifying monsters and maniacs. With 25 years of experience to draw from. You can explore 9 terrifying haunted houses, make your way through 5 scare zones where creatures lurk around every turn, enjoy 2 live shows, and experience many of the park’s most exciting rides and attractions.  

Featured haunted houses this year are: Freddy Vs. Jason, Body Collectors Recollections, An American Werewolf In London, Jack Presents 25 Years of Monsters Mayhem, Run Blood Sweat and Fears, Insidious, The Purge, AMC The Walking Dead The Living and The Dead, and Asylum in Wonderland 3D. 

Live entertainment this year includes: The Carnage Returns and Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween. Bill & Ted’s show is a great time to take a sit down and rest your feet while enjoying some entertainment. 

This year’s scare zones include: Scary Tales – Screampunk, Psychoscareapy – Unleashed, All Nite Die-In – Double Feature, Evil’s Roots and Icons –  HHN. Scare zones are in the streets of Universal. So no matter where you walk there is horror lurking or chasing you. I was able to grab some wonderful shots of these amazing scare zones. 

We were able to make it to almost all of the haunted houses again this year. As it is every year, each house is just as scary as the next. As we entered each house you could feel your heart racing not knowing what was going to scare you or was it ok to look. I love it! Sorry no photos of the haunted house, because that’s a surprise and I wouldn’t want to ruin all the fun.

This is our 3rd time going to Halloween Horror Nights and one of the best years yet!  Since being there once before I thought I would not be as scared, but I was completely wrong. There was just no way to escape the horror in the streets and in haunted house unless you were in the bathroom or in between scare zones. I love it!  

We had such a amazing time making our way through the various streets of Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights 25 event. In between going to the haunted houses we made our way to get a bite to eat. We didn’t get our usual Buffalo Chicken Strips with Sweet Potato Waffle Fries. Instead this year we got the Jack’d Up Carnage Chicken Kabob. Which was so good.

Then we stopped off at our favorite store as we always do each year, and that’s the the Candy Factory. Here you will find all the candy you will ever need or some of the biggest most wonderful baked treats. Once again I got my favorite Peanut Butter Cookie with Peanut Butter Chips. This time I remembered to get a picture before I devoured it all. Then we also grabbed one cookie for each of our kids to take home to them. My husband got a Chocolate covered Apple Drizzled with White Chocolate.

This year we also took time to stop by some of Universal shopping areas and grabbed some merchandise. My husband and I are huge coffee lovers so of course we both got a new coffee mug. I got a heart shaped Betty Boop mug and he got a Jack mug that celebrates the 25 years for the Halloween Horror Nights event.

My husband and I always have such a wonderful time at Universal whether we are vacationing with our children or there for the Halloween event it’s always the best time ever! We have never been disappointed.
