When I was 11 years old just a year after my parents divorced, which was already devastating enough we had a house fire. I was at my fathers house at the time. I can still remember it to this day. Thankfully my mom was ok and so was our pets. My mother told me not to worry we will be staying at my grandmas house until the damaged parts of the house get fixed. And that the American Red Cross is helping us with clothes, personal needs and food. They also offered us shelter if we needed it.
