Every Saturday night we get together with friends or family and play board games this has been one of our traditions for years. Over the years we have had some crazy pee your pants funny Saturday nights!
Recently I was given the opportunity to review this new game Say Anything by North Star Games. “Say Anything”, a new game on the market. Finally something fun to do, Now don’t get me wrong, as a mom with teens its hard to find a board game to enjoy with them. According to my teenage daughter Nichelle all teens need to get happy is soda and snacks lol.
So let’s cut to the chase my husband and I played this new game Say Anything we received in the mail with my son and daughter and their friends. First we procrastinated for the first hour making some Christmas cookies to have while playing the game.
Then I opened the game and took out the materials. I was surprised there was no game board. We all sat on the living room floor in a somewhat circle. My oldest son snatched the instruction and read them aloud as everyone munched on cookies.
We each grabbed an erase board of our favorite color of liking and the corresponding game chips and a dry erase marker. Finally my oldest finishes reading the instructions, but of course no one really understood them until we started playing the game. So, basically the shortest person starts by picking up a question card and reads a question on the card they like.
Everyone besides the shortest person answers the question by writing it on the erase boards. Simple right? Then the shortest person takes a look at all the answers and picks their favorite and selects a chip symbol on the select-o-mastic 5000. Then everyone bets on who they think was picked with their chips.
Now, I was the shortest person and picked a question card. There was a question on the card that caught my eye, “What is the most horrible habit to have.” Seems like everyone thought it was a race because before I finished asking the question everyone had finishes writing down their answers, markers smoking of success!
I skimmed the boards and read, picking your nose, my daughter was laughing hysterically because she has done this. Picking a wedgie, burping, and biting nails and a couple I wont mention. Of course they were all such funny because everyone was giggling at each other answers, but I had to go for picking your nose. When I relieved what I had chosen on the select-o-mastic all you hear was, “Oh yea, in your face!” Ha Ha!
To be honest this game was epic! Say Anything is a great game that brings out the humor and non stop gut wrenching laughter in people. Say Anything is a full on party game, really suited for teenagers and adults. Friends say anything and that anything could be the winner of the game. All in all I definitely recommend this game!
