Week 1 & 10 of Our Nutrisystem Journey #NSNation

Big changes this week! I am so excited to have my husband Shaunn as a partner and supporter in

my Nutrisystem journey. Our first week together on Nutrisystem was a little bumpy with my daughters 15th birthday and knowing there would be cake available. But I personally feel I did very well. I only had a small piece of cake in place of my after dinner dessert. Plus I made sure to make a small family sized cake nothing to big. I was very proud of my husband for turning down his piece of cake.

Angie’s Journey Week 10

I am on my 10th week and did not lose any weight this week. Actually the scale says I gained 3 pounds bringing my weight from 280lbs. to 283lbs. I’m not worried because it’s that time of the month for me and I always put on 2 to 4 pounds only until my cycle is over. But I gotta say I did freak out at first and then I realized why the scale went up. So I am not going to stress it and just move on and try hard this week.

As you all know I announced last week that my husband Shaunn will be joining me on my Nutrisystem weight loss journey . He just completed his first week of the Nutrisystem D Program and lost 2 pounds! Shaunn started at 266lbs. and is now 264lbs. Woohoo!

Shaunn received 18 days of pantry meals customized and 10 days of fresh frozen meals. We have provided a video to show you some of the great choices you have to choose from on the Nutrisystem program. Shaunn says “One thing I will tell you is. you won’t be short changed on flavor and variety with the  Nutrisystem Program”.

Shaun’s Journey Week 1

My opinion of the Nutrisystem program even before my wife Angela received it, was the food would taste bland (no flavor) not enough food. Since then my opinion has changed dramatically, for instance the food is very flavorful,  portioned just right and there is enough food to fill your belly. I recently joined my wife Angela in our weight-loss journey and it has been  a wonderful experience. My energy level is back, no taking naps in the middle of the day etc. I started the Nutrisystem program weighing 266 pounds, after my week one i am now 264 that is 2 pounds in a week without having to do vigorous workouts or starving my self. I feel that every man should try this, the food exceeded my expectations of the run -of-the-mill programs. The food i love especially the sandwich melts, Meatball Parm, Steak and Cheese, and the Chicken Parm. One  dish that i disliked is the Garden Vegetable Omelet, i am a meat and potatoes man. The desserts are great, Ice Cream Sandwich’s, not the little ones but the ones all of us as bought in the grocery store, pound cake, cookies, fudge bars you name it they have it. I usually at dinner time tease my wife with my ice cream, and she gives me the “stank eye” which i find hilarious. I just can’t say enough good things about the food A++++++.   My wife also is jealous about the fact that i get 56 desserts which is awesome, and the fact that your meals are planned out for you is great.

  1. The tough part about gaining weight is it not only affects you physically it affects you mentally and emotionally. Society can be cruel when it comes to this scenario. I personally have several friends who are currently overweight. I can personally say I love them despite societies views and opinions. A site i go to view reviews of weight loss is I remember when I was 30lbs overweight and the way I was treated. Not cool.

  2. Love to see you two working towards a healthy lifestyle with NS. I love this program. Keep up the great work you two!!
