I recently had the pleasure of reviewing the 2012 Hess Helicopter and Rescue. The Hess Truck has been a family tradition in our home for many years, and even when I was a child I always got the new Hess Truck every year for Christmas. We plan to keep this tradition going in our family for as long as the Hess Truck is available.
Hess Truck has always been known for their quality and amazing craftsmanship. This truck is loaded with chrome detailing and bold white and green colors. And as always battier powered by Energizer batteries which have always come included for as long as I can remember. Also comes with motorized rotors and cool sounds! The Hess truck even has real working lights and cool sounds. Has a retractable landing gear, and a surprise hidden in the back of the Helicopter which is a rescue vehicle with retractable lights and a pull-back motor. Hess trucks have always been made very durable and can take a beating. In my opinion these are great for boys, girls and anyone who loves to collect.

History of the Hess Truck
In the 1960’s a man named Leon Hess, wanted to provide a fun and affordable toy for all families for the holiday season. The first Hess Truck was then introduced in 1964. This truck was a tanker that could be filled with water and then emptied through its delivery hose. The retail price back then was only $1.29, which also included the batteries. This was a great value back then, and became an instant huge success. His creative genius and attention to detail is what made the Hess Toy Truck an exciting holiday tradition and a collector’s item for boys and girls of all ages.
Today, now over forty years later, the Hess Toy Truck still keeps it’s original commitment to quality. With detail and value in every Hess Truck. Some models from the past where fire engines, helicopters, a police car, an airplane and even a space shuttle. Each year the truck is something new with a distinctive holiday television commercial “The Hess Truck’s back, and it’s better than ever!” — and, more recently, with the Hess Toy Truck Float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The Hess Toy Truck has become a lasting family tradition that extends across generations.
