How to Make an Aromatherapy Neck and Shoulder Rice Pillow

If your a mom then you already know what crazy days we have. Getting up at 5am to get the kids ready, off to school and then getting ourselves ready so we can go to work. Then back home to get the kids, helping with homework, after school sports, and lastly get dinner ready and then we send the kids off to bed. Once they are in bed I usually do dishes and clean up the kitchen. Let’s face no one wants to do dishes and cleaning after such a long day. Cleaning is the last thing on my mind, but it must be done.

Supplies you will need to create an Aromatherapy Neck and Shoulder Rice Pillow

• 1 tube sock
• Mini sewing kit 
• 4 cups of dry rice
• 8-10 drops Lavender oil

Instructions:

1. Fill the tube sock with dry rice, leaving enough room to sew the sock closed. About 3/4 full.
2. Next add 8 to 10 drops of Lavender oil, and move rice around in the sock to evenly distribute oil.
3. Carefully sew the sock shut completely to avoid finding rice all over your house for the next 6 months.
4. Microwave and apply as needed to help relieve neck and shoulder tension and to sooth pain.
5. Be sure to only heat the bag in 30 second intervals. This will keep the bag from over heating and indicate exactly how long the rice bag should be heated for the next use.
