Summer is just around the corner and Dads everywhere are already firing up the grills. I can smell yummy BBQ just talking about it! Give Dad some bold flavor to go with that new grill you got him for Father’s Day. McCormick sent us over some of their bold new flavors to try in exchange for my honest opinion.
Grilling experts at McCormick are here to assist us with more bold flavors. With their new Grill Mates Steak Sauces, Rubs, Marinades and Seasonings. Steak Sauces are available in two varieties Montreal Steak and Smoky Montreal Steak.
And the new Rubs, Marinades and Seasonings make it simple to create grilled masterpieces packed with flavor and with refreshing sweet tea, spice and wood pairings and bold brick oven flavor. The new products include: Slow & Low Tennessee Smokehouse BBQ Rub, Smokin’ Sweet Tea Marinade, Backyard Brick Oven Seasoning Blend, and Worcestershire Pub Burger Seasoning Blend.
McCormick is a brand we have used in our home for years. In my opinion McCormick is a brand that never fails and always brings the flavor. We used a couple of these new flavors on steak and turkey burgers. If you eat turkey burgers then you already know how hard it is to season and and get the flavors to stand out. My husband used the Worcestershire Pub Burger Seasoning Blend generously on both sides while grilling. This is a bold blend with Worcestershire, black pepper and garlic. Let’s just say the burgers came out amazing and full of flavor.
We also used the Montreal Steak sauce of course on our steak. We didn’t have time to marinate the steak, so we added it while grilling. This sauce is good for marinating, adding while grilling and dipping your steak in. With a blend of coarsely ground pepper, red peppers, dill and coriander. This is one bold sauce that will add a lot of flavor. We really enjoyed this one a lot!
5-Minute Marinating Tips from McCormic:
- Place steak, pork or chicken and your favorite McCormic marinade in a resealable plastic bag.
- Next push all the air our of the bad and seal.
- Lastly massage the meat for 5 minutes turning the bag over and over again so the meat will adsorb the marinade. Then remove the meat from the bag and grill. Discard bag with remaining marinade.
Kind of ironic I didn’t have enough time to marinate the steaks and I have a 5 minute marinating tip for you. However in my defense I didn’t know about this time saving tip till after we cooked the steaks. HaHa
