Not Much In The Cupboard Donut Drops

Late at night is when a lot of people get those sweet cravings, but most don’t always have some treats lying around nor do they have the abundance of ingredients to whip up a batch of cookies or brownies.

I was in this exact situation one night with my daughter, we both thought if there was anything in our cupboards that we could make that was easy and that would satisfy our sweet tooth.
What we found and came up with we call them the, “Not Much In The Cupboard Donut Drops.”
Not Much In The Cupboard Donut Drops
These donuts consist of ingredients most people already have in their cupboards. Baking mix such as Bisquick, Jiffy or any off brand, sugar, cinnamon, water and oil. You can whip these donuts up in under 10 minutes, soon you’ll be enjoyed hot, fluffy donuts! Just follow these simple steps.
  • Bisquick, Jiffy or off brand baking mix.
  • Sugar or Splenda
  • Cinnamon
  • Water or Milk
  • Oil
Step 1.
In a bowl mix together Bisquick and water. There are no measurements. Just add 2 cups of the mix with enough water to create a very thick batter like drop biscuits.  After mixing up the batter set aside, and in a pan pour in some oil and heat it up on the stove on medium to high heat. Any oil you have will do. Canola oil, vegetable oil, olive oil, coconut oil, whatever you may have.
Step 2.
In a small bowl mix together some sugar and cinnamon, the measurements are not exact, it all depends on how much sugar to cinnamon you like. Set this bowl aside you will need it for step 3.
Step 3.
Take a spoon and scoop tablespoon sizes of batter out and drop them into the oil. Let them fry for about a minute or until browned, turn them letting all sides fry evenly. Take them out of the oil and drop them into the bowl of cinnamon and sugar and coat them completely. Remove them and serve them nice and hot on a plate.

Me and my and daughter love these donuts so much, they’re crunchy on the outside and fluffy and warm on the inside. Just as I’m writing this I want to make them now!
