Theo Chocolate Review

Just a few days ago I had the chance in reviewing 4 chocolate bars from Theo Chocolate.

The Theo Chocolate company is dedicated to making our world a better place. And they are finding ways to do it through their passion, by bringing out the best of the cocoa bean. They are all connected. They touch one anther’s lives in incredible ways. They make chocolate. Amazing, delicious, mind-bendingly wonderful chocolate. To the Theo Chocolate staff, it isn’t just about the chocolate, it is about the land, the people, the dedication and the interconnected relationships that binds them all together.

Theo’s was nice enough to send us over some of their wonderful chocolate in exchange for my honest opinion.

The chocolate that I got to review is: Theo Organic & Fair Trade Coconut Mint 45% Milk Chocolate 3oz., Theo Organic & Fair Trade Gingerbread Spice 45% Milk Chocolate 3oz., Theo Organic & Fair Trade Nutcracker Brittle 70% Dark Chocolate 3oz., and Theo Organic & Fair Trade Peppermint Stick 70% Dark Chocolate 3oz.

They only use foods grown without any synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers, that do not contain genetically modified organisms, and have not been irradiated or exposed to industrial solvents or food additive. Every Theo ingredient has been verified as organic and they work with farmers and suppliers to ensure these standards are maintained.

Of course I was pretty excited to receive chocolate in the mail! I think anyone would be. I love the whole idea of Theo Chocolate, they don’t just think wholly on the making of their chocolate but about everyone, from the cacao farmer in the Congo, to the truck driver in Seattle, to the chocolate lover in Philadelphia, there is a thread that runs through them all.

I like how each chocolate was Christmas themed. Little things like this can easily get me into the Christmas spirit so fast and out of the ordinary. The first one I tried was the Coconut Mint one. I love coconut but I don’t really like dark chocolate. But I was going to try it any way. To be honest it wasn’t that great in my opinion. I liked the coconut pieces in it and minted taste was good, but to me I just think the dark chocolate with these are ingredients weren’t the best combination. The Gingerbread Spice was milk chocolate but it left a dark chocolate after taste in my mouth. Even though this wasn’t as great either, I liked it more than the other I tried. The ones that were milk chocolate tasted like dark chocolate. The flavors were different combinations but they weren’t for my taste buds.

  1. What wonderful chocolate. I like the Nutcracker brittle and The Gingerbread Spice. These would be such nice presents to give for Christmas. I know I would love to get this chocolate. Looks delicious!

  2. I love dark chocolate but you definitely have to acquire a taste for it. If you do not like it then I can see why it would not interest you. These sound yummy to me!
