Summer is edging it’s way around and we all know what that means. Hot weather, cool drinks, and MOSQUITOS! Yes, those deadly little buggers! But, luckily, ThermaCELL has your back! ThermaCELL sent me 2 lanterns in return for my honest opinion. The ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent Lantern, and ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent Patio Lantern. I was so gladly acceptable to these products because I live in Florida, so when it is Summer it gets really hot. I don’t like staying inside everyday all day, so I’d go out back on my porch with my family. And those Mosquitos go crazy! I can’t handle it, I do use bug spray once in a while but we all know a lot of those don’t really work. Either they say they aren’t oily and actually are, or they say they last up till so and so amount of hours but will last an hour. And I can’t have that. So, having a the ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent Lanterns are wonderful!
They are small and compact, they don’t take up too much room, and both can be used as a normal lantern or a mosquito repellent lantern.
The ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent Lantern repels Mosquitos (of course), Black Flies, and other flying insects. It provides 15 x15 feet of protection, which is the size of an average deck. The lantern’s light is provided by LEDs, not a candle or open flame.
The set-up was really easy. All I did was take it out of the box, pop in the batteries, screw in the butane cartridge that it came with which lasts for 12 hours. Then slip in the repellent mat. It came with 3 of them. Each mat lasts for 4 hours. Next I turned on the light, then I activated the mosquito repellent by switching the on button. And BAM! On the other hand, it takes up to 10-30 minutes depending on the size of the area that the lantern is being used in to take effect. I used it on my back porch while my husband cooked on the grill. Once it started to work I completely forgot about the whole mosquito thing, I able to relax without itching or swatting Mosquitos away. Oh, and may I say it made not one noise. Nice and silent. Since it is so small it can be easily carried around from place to place.
The ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent Patio Lantern does all the very good of that of the ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent Lantern. It provides 225 square feet of repellency. Can be used on decks, patios, and in backyards. It is silent as well, and of course portable. The set-up for this one was just as easy as the first one. I put in AA batteries, inserted 1 of 3 repellent mats that it came with, and screwed in the butane cartridge. Then I turned on the light. And activated the mosquito repellent. The patio lantern worked just as great as the first one.
I was very impressed by both products, both have a nice, sleek design. I love how small. Yet complex they are. They are both very easy to use, and are very effective.
