Graphics are much clearer and crisp compared to the old versions. We tried this game on two different televisions. First on an old standard one and the graphics were almost the same as Playstation1. And then we tried it on our 1080i HD television and the graphics were amazing. So if you want the full effect of the HD qulity you must play this game on an HD television or you will not get the qulity this game promises. With the graphics being so much better you can now see clearly the smallest of details like shirts blowing in the wind, brand of shoe your players wearing and more. Lighting is of superb qulity enabling you to see so much more of the details as you make it through each level. The sound track includes many of the classic songs as well as new ones. I wasn’t into the sound track so much. I feel it would have been better with some more upbeat songs and also if they gave you the option to skip a song would be nice too. But over all the songs did go well with the game play. I also noticed when you fall of your skateboard the screen blanks out for a second and you start back from the beginning. When in the old version you would fall off your board and get right back on and continue game play. But these tiny issues are minor compared to all the great features this new version has to offer. This game is not that easy either, so if your looking for a fair challenge it will deliver.
If you have come to love the past Tony Hawk games you will definitely enjoy this one. The game was rebuilt and polished by Robomodo using Neversoft’s original code and includes the best seven levels from THPS and THPS2, With the promise of even more downloadable content coming to keep you in the game. Look for the upcoming DLC December 4th for only $4.99. The Revert Pack DCL THPS HD is coming to XBLA, PSN, and Steam. This will include the legendary pro skaters Steve Caballero and Geoff Rowley, the Airport, LA, and Canada levels from THPS3, and the Revert move. Plus James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo from Metallica will be playable characters!
If your a fan of Tony Hawk games and have played them in the past. I highly recommend you check out Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD
