White House Lowering the Price of Diapers for Low-Income Families

On March 10, 2016 the White House says they will help in lowering the price of diapers for low-income families and non profit organizations. Sadly diapers are a basic need many families struggle to afford. Most daycares only allow the child to have disposable diapers, therefor they are not a luxury item. Diaper need is a silent crisis to many face each day. There is also no federal assistance for to help families purchase diapers, like other much needed essentials such as food or health insurance. You can buy candy with food stamps, but diapers are classified with alcohol, cigarettes, and pet food as disallowed purchases.

However things are about to change. The White House has partnered with Jet.com to offer Cuties brand diapers at a discounted rate for low-income families starting late April 2016. Cuties Economy Plus Packs will be available to everyone for purchase at a discounted cost according to the White House.

Cuties Economy Plus Packs will be available for everyone to purchase on Jet.com in late April.
