Stressed Out Hot Mess, Where Do I Go From Here? Week 11 & 20 Of Our Journey

These last 3 weeks have been tough on me. I am stressed out and feel like a hot mess. I have been sick and we have also been going though some tough financial issues. Crying because of the issues everyday and drinking to much coffee which has made it hard to sleep well and focus on my day to day routine. As a mom of 3 I will tell you it’s so hard when you just start crying out of nowhere and your kids are around, so you run off to the bathroom and dab a cold rag on your face hoping they wont notice. Not only that my last 3 posts for my journey were late. I have been so stressed out and not been able to focus on my weight loss journey. I gained 6lbs. since my last post bringing by weight back up to 280lbs. from 174lbs. I am eating Nutrisystem breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as desserts. But I have been eating a second dessert later at night. And have also found my self snacking a little more than I should. I am back to not drinking enough water again and have not exercised for 3 weeks. Getting this post up today was difficult. First because I am ashamed it’s 5 days late and 2nd I have not wanted to talk about my 6lb. gain and the issues I am going though. One good thing that has came out of this 6 pound weight gain is that I found out I eat more when I am stressed. I think it’s good to find that out because now I know what triggers me to eat more and I can find out how to fix that.

As I sit here and write this post I am crying because I am over stressed and unmotivated and don’t no where to go from here. My situation has not changed and I don’t know how to stay positive and focused on my journey. Because of my weight and how dangerously high it is I feel that staying focused on my journey is just as important as the other issues I have. Where do I go from here?

Shaunn’s Journey

Week 11 of Nutrisystem Program: This week I gained 2 pounds, from 260 last week to 262 this week. I Know exactly what helped my weight gain, not doing my daily three everyday,and plus I had pizza over the weekend too. I think having the pizza did it to me, but it is just so irresistible. The motivation is not there, I am also taking more naps during the day because I am up so early in the morning. Nevertheless, I am not going to let this get me down, nor am I going to lose my focus on my journey. I am still eating right for the most part except for this weekend past, and drinking plenty of water. This is all out frustrating to me, lack of motivation, not enough energy during the day, napping when I should be exercising. Starting this week even though I wake up early I will be going to bed early from now on so that my body can get the amount of sleep it needs.

    Hang in there!! You will succeed at this and everything else! I know how you feel, I really do, but all I can tell you is hang in there, you have a lot of support and a family and friends that love you and care about you and are there to support you as well! When you mess up, don’t beat your self up over it, take a deep breath and start again and soon you will succeed!

    You sweet thing. Our lives get so overloaded with things that just keep on coming and coming and bury us… then important things are slipping through the cracks and nothing seems manageable anymore. Please dont feel regret about your weight loss…you just start again today adding in your glasses of water and whatever else you can do – even if it is getting your heart rate up running up and down your stairs or doing 100 jumping jacks in front of your computer.

    You can do it!! Weight loss is the hardest goal to achieve so keep your head up and keep starting again 🙂 And when things get really bad in life, train yourself to harbor a secret spark of excitement that things will soon turn around again and get better for a bit…life is up and down and somehow we get through it and figure it out…just dont let the “downs” get the best of you…fight back! fight it off by taking care of yourself. I have faith in you. Thank you for sharing your brave post.
